Jersey Shore Mermaids is stoked to announce the King Neptune Ocean Paddle Race.
Why are there no ocean paddles in our area? We decided to answer that question with our very own 5 mile elite and beginner friendly ocean race.
Taking place off surfing beach in Ortley Beach on the morning of Saturday, August 4th, this race will head South towards Seaside Park and back to the start. Your race fee includes a Tshirt or tank from IDO SUP which is made from 96% recycled plastic bottles, and designed and printed by Kingstone Printing. It also includes a day badge to spend the day on the beach and a voucher for a breakfast sandwich and drink from the Sugar Shack snack bar on the beach.
Bring the whole family for a fun beach day and test your paddle skills on the ocean.
Custom awards for top 3 males and females in the following categories: 12’6″, 14′, Surf Style, and Prone.
We will then have a Run-Paddle-Run Event which you can do Solo, or with a teammate.
This day will be focused on sun – fun – and spreading the mermaid spirit. You are permitted to bring coolers to the beach as well. Pack for the day and pray for perfect conditions!
